HUNTED Report
This is a screen shot of my Hunted report that I am doing, I have added some photos so that the section of editing will have images of storyboards and the script to show that I used them to help me in the editing process. I also used as many technical terms as I could and wrote each sections in paragraphs with as many screenshots as I could have.

HUNTED final movie
2P1 GROUP 2 HUNTED FINAL from Long Road Applied Media Diploma on Vimeo.
For the first part of the movie, I was walking down the corridor to the reception. When we filmed this scene it was very quiet and took a long time so in order to make it interesting, we went out again and this time I walked down again at the same pace as last time so it was in time with how fast I was walking but that time so that you could hear me walking and when we uploaded it I put the audio onto the original footage which is how I made this.
As for the second part with the conversation, we had filmed this many times as we were in the reception so people kept getting in the shot or we had forgotten our lines. The first time that we filmed this, they had forgotten about the 180 degree rule so we had to go out and film it again so that when I edited it out it looks as though we are having a normal conversation. Though as we begin to walk, that is when the music starts to build tension which Rami had created by garageband because that when we walked through the doorway, the camera follows us instead of us leaving the frame, because of that we needed to add the music so that it wouldn't just be a long clip of Erica and me walking.
When we sat down to talk, they again forgot about the 180 degree rule so instead of filming it again, I changed the clips where the camera was facing Erica and flipped it round so that it gives the impression that we were using the 180 rule before we get up and I go into the next clip.
As I was walking up the stairs we realized that we needed some music to again build up the tension, so we did that and when I reached the top of the stairs that was when I was stopped to find a patient wondering about the landing. For that clip we had to flip the clips of the camera facing me so that we were following the 180 degree rule. I had to edit this scene out the most as there was a lot of jump scenes where we filmed one scene twice and I put it together so that it would appear as one continuous clip. However, as this jumped halfway through a conversation, I got a clip of Stephany looking at me but with me talking same as before so that the camera was focused on her reaction and not of me where it jumped so that it gives the impression that when I am talking to Stephany and goes to grab my arm we can see her reaction to me and then as soon as that happens you can see me and she is dragging me down the stairs.
With the action scene, Rami's friend Stephany had to drag me down the stairs and push me into the cupboard, again I had to change round the dialogue to go with different clips and shorten them so that when I had left the shot it went on to the next one instead of waiting a few seconds. When we were going down the stairs I had to shorten one of them so that the action scene carried on so that when we disappeared under the stairs, we weren't suddenly at the top again but half way down.
As Stephany pushed me into the cupboard I had to take the sound out of one of the clips for a few seconds as there was talking in the background that didn't fit in with the scene. Also there was another jump scene with the door when it is shut so to hide this we had made it a close-up so that it looks as though we are closing in on the clip to see Stephany's face when she walks out of the cupboard, as Stephany walked out of the cupboard in a carers' uniform that is when the music for the end credits starts as it was just silence at that point so because there was nobody talking, I moved the music forward slightly so that it would make it a much more dramatic ending than it simply just having Sephany walking out the door in silence, then the music for the credits starts just as it finishes.
For the end credits, our original idea was to have clips with the characters with the sound muted and their character and own names to go into the screen but that didn't go with the movie, so changed it with the theme of the magnifying glass from the HUNTED design, with this it goes over each of our names to enlarge it which was done by Sean in final cut before going into the HUNTED design at the end followed shortly by 'Level 2 2012' that I made by just using the text instead of going into final cut.
The HUNTED design that was used has solid red writing, a solid black backround with an image of a hospital corridor to go with the theme as it is suppose to be set in a hospital, with the magnifying glass over the 'd' to show that it is a mystery or that so when you see it, you can automatically tell that there is going to be a action scene that involves someone being injured in some way.
When I was editing I had to change most of the clips so that the image would fit into the entire screen or so that I could lift up a character so that they would be the focus in that scene. I needed to adjust the audio at some points so that the music would fade in and out to cover a piece of a clip that was just us waking or just when nothing is happening and we needed something to add tension so that when other people see it, they will automatically know that something is going to happen.

Editing, audio and sound
For today in media, I have been working with Rami to improve on our film. I retrieved back my audio that had been deleted and added the music that Rami had made to create tension in the film. We put it over the audio as we had filmed Erica and me walking but not out of the frame so instead the camera follows us making the clip longer, so to make it better the music was added below the clip.

Logo Design
I am now adding to my logo initial design ideas in which I have changed my ideas many times but chose my final one as it is a media production company with a film strip and role in front of the s. The m in the name and the word media is in red to allow it to stand out which I thought was more eye catching than my other ideas for the logo
Editing, final cut work
I am finishing off the editing by putting in the music to the places there isn't much sound and going over every thing so that it looks right and sounds good, though from going through the whole thing, we didn't follow the 180 degree rule on one of the conversations so I have had to flip the image so it looks as though it is being filmed following the 180 degree rule.

Filming shots
These are pictures taken by myself, Rami and my friend Olivia who we asked to help out.
This picture shows Rami looking back at the video that we had just shot.
Here, Rami is showing me where to start walking for when I go down the corridor.
This is me walking down the corridor towards the entrance as we were getting Olivia to help us out by taking a few photos.
This was taken by Olivia of Rami beginning to film me walking down the corridor to create sound effects for a previous one that we had already done.
This is another picture of Rami filming as we were about to go down the corridor.

This shows us discussing if we needed any more to make the sound of footsteps go along with the original shot.
This shows us looking over the clip that Rami had just filmed.
These two are of Olivia, who helped us out in order to take still images of us filming.

Storyboard
This is the storyboard of the ending of the short film, it shows that there is the first carer who goes into reception to talk to her friend and they go off to lunch to discuss her new patient that she is really nervous about so as they head to lunch they have a short conversation as she realizes that she has to go and tend to her patient so heads to the room. As she goes up the stairs there is the patient there waiting for her, before she realizes what is happening she is being dragged down the corridor and shoved in a cupboard which is then locked behind her, she then watches as the patient gets a carers' uniform and walks out of the hospital.
Moodboard

For this moodboard, I first went in to photoshop to get the canvas for the images. Then, I went into google and selected all of the various images that I thought were appropriate for what we were going to film with the title of 'hunted'. With that I selected the images of police cars, carers' uniform, hospital hallway, a phone, hospital building, hospital bed, car crash, some one in a dream, a car park and a letter as our origional idea was to involve all of these different combinations into the ending of short film. Though in the end we had decided that this was too much to go into and ending scene so we cut the car crash, police, car park and the fact that she wakes up in a dream.

Bomb Final Video
To apply the special effects for blowing up the school I got a green screen image with fire over the top then cropped it into the specific place that I wanted it to go and then did this for each clip of the school that was filmed. I then added some sound effects which gives the effect of the school blowing up some sound to go with it so that when one area is going up there will be an exploding sound to go with it.
After I put it all together, I placed my ident of my media logo at the beginning and the end credit with an image that I managed to find over the internet and then wrote in each of our names and what we did in order to make this.

new york final cut
To create the new york final cut piece I got several different clips of new york that we were given and placed them down to make them go together, after I got the clips that I wanted, I needed to fade them in and out at certain places to create the effect of two images on one another as in when I had an image of a side of a building and I had to fade it out so that I give the effect of a reflection of a plane flying over and then continue to do it so that it shows it without the building and then I continued to do this so that a clip of crowds of people walking up the streets. Then I had to go into garageband and create my own music piece to go with the pace of the new york final cut so that it would fit in to the transitions through out the sequence.
Horror Stills Task
To create the Horror stills we first had to go out with a camera and take images as a group in a certain location that we chose, which was the woods as we thought that was a typical horror location. We then had a shot list and a storyboard to follow so that we knew exactly what we were doing, I then took all of the shots that we took and uploaded them onto final cut and got the ones that we needed then started to put them onto the timeline, after I put in fades by using the toggle clip overlays (rubber bands), use the pen tool and this will allow you to create fades at the beginning and the end of each camera still shot that we took. I then used some music to create tension and build it up as each slide was shown so that when there was a close up of the character being killed, the music will be very dramatic. Finally I used the viewer to add text to the end credit and through out so that I could write which shots they were and where abouts I placed them.

target audience
For this I took the image of an outline of a person off of the internet then drag it onto the screen and get images of clothes of of a website then place them on top of the outlined image.
I then went on to google images and found all of the popular logos that I know of, use and go to to create this. I then got several arrows to place them in different places depending on how many different categories there were.
bomb action sequence
There is an action sequence running up to finding the location of the bomb where it took us an extra day to get all of the scenes that were needing as we didn't have the correct shots leading up to the bomb scene. After that I needed to drag the correct clips down and edit them so that it looked like an action sequence as they were running to find the bomb near to the car park. Some clips were longer than they needed to be so had to be cut down so that it would flow and wouldn't be waiting for the next clip ages after the previous one. I then had to change the volume of the different clips as some were good but others you were barely able to hear, then I needed to crop the clips so they filled out the entire screen so there was no blacked out corners.
I think that if there were any improvements to be made then I would improve the action sequence by improving the shot types used as in making them clearer when we were out filming.

bomb meeting
This screen grab shows the 'bomb sequence' meeting scene where we were filming the hand over for the bomb. We started by having character 2 walking through the door and sitting down next to character 1, they then had a meeting as to where the bomb should go and then character 1 handed over the bomb to character 2 after they decided a location as to where the bomb should be positioned. After this character 1 gave character 2 the instructions and told them to leave and so character 2 got up and walked out taking the bomb with him. To create this we needed to use final cut to drag each clip down to make it into the bomb sequence meeting, to create the meeting that took place we filmed the conversation on an over the shoulder shot behind both of the characters, then took both of the clips and cut them so that when character 1 spoke the camera would be on them and when character 2 spoke, the camera will be on them and this would carry until the conversation had stopped. Though looking at the conversation the first time, I needed to change it so that the image would fill the whole screen so it looked better and I did this for each clip that I used so that it wouldn't look different in clips when the sequence was playing.

find your tribe
I found that this quiz on finding your tribe was easy to do, the questions weren't as difficult and were easier to answer. I think that I would take this quiz again as it was also a fun thing to do, and at the end it tells you based on the answers which tribe you are and also gives a description of what that means.
Are you normal test
I found that by completing this quiz, at times there were really strange answers to some questions that weren't very clear and used random images although on some of them I did find it difficult to answer. I think that I would probably take this quiz again as its a fun thing to do and are it will tell you what type of a person you are based on the particular answers that you choose.

logo
To make this logo, first I went on the internet to find images to do with film and chose the image of the film role and strip to go with the logo to make it look as if it is media logo. Then I choose the name S.M.T media and I tried to make the colours and font syle fit in to design, after I then tried to position the images around the text to make it fit in with the text of the logo.
font
To create this I first went onto the website dafont and chose 6 different fonts that I thought would be good, I then downloaded them and went into the fonts to choose the one that I had just downloaded. I would change the colour, size and position and continued to do this with 6 different font styles.
brushes
To make this I first had to download a series of brushes off of a website, then I went onto brushes and chose the one's that I felt would go well together. After I had chosen the brush type I would then select the colour that I wanted and placed them on the page where I thought they should go and continued to do this several times.

Club flyer
At first I got an image of some musical notes for the background and got another image of headphones to place onto the other image. I moved the image of the headphones on to the background image by using move tool, I then repeated the same process for the earth and eye by deleting the outer image to it and then move to scale, after I put the headphones in place I then started to add some text to the club flyer starting with the name, for this I would click onto the text icon and start to write and then change the size, style and colour as I went along, I then repeated this each time I added a new piece of text and moved them where I felt they looked best.
Earth and Eye
To create the earth and eye image first I had to get the two images up separately, I then clicked on the move tool to place the earth image on to the eye image. Then I used the marquee tool to select around the earth image, go to select then inverse and click on the backspace to delete the unwanted image space and I would be left with the eye image underneath. Then I would use the wand tool to take away the unwanted image with the earth so that i will just be left with the earth and eye, then I would need to resize the earth to make it fit onto the eye and make it blend into the eye image.
